Professional Background

I am currently the Education Technology Senior Consultant at the Kentucky Department of Education. I serve many roles, but my focus is providing resources for high quality teaching and learning in technology. I have served as an adjunct professor for online courses and blended courses for new teachers to expand the understanding of how technology supports the classroom learning experience. This aids in keeping me up-to-date with the advances of education technology. Finally, I have completed the coursework for my doctorate in Instructional Systems Design at the University of Kentucky. I am in the process of completing the dissertation on professional learning communities for school improvement.

What information do you hope to gain from the Visual Teaching Network?

I am interested in learning more about visual literacy, how visual teaching support student learning and how to effectively incorporate visual teaching into instructional design.
